Term Papers

We have all been there 10-20 page term papers, double spaced, 12 font - if you haven't, you will. Overall, I have no problem with them, except when they are not intellectually challenging. I guess we can categorize term papers into 2 types: regurgitation and application. Lets give these types some fun names - Type R and Type A. I favor the latter; I loathe the former. By the time I am done with a Type R term paper I have 20 gazillion sources and every other sentence is cited. Type A term papers are much better because they tickle the brain, make me think and compel me to have a thesis that I have to defend.

Sometimes I think that my lack of motivation comes from a lack of intellectual stimulation - I don't feel challenged enough.
